Summer Vacation

There’s something about rainy days, isn’t there?

The house is quiet, stray Cheerios waiting to be eaten by the dog, drips of milk on the table waiting for a cloth to come along and briskly wipe them up.

In an hour, I’m going to go pick my bike up from the shop and drive through puddles.

This is my first day of summer vacation. I have grand plans for the next two months. There is house cleaning to be done today.

But catching up on emails, sipping my tea in silence and listening to the rain dribble outside is a very good way to start.
